2010 Dodge Ram Power Wagon Craves Off-Road Action

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Some dirt roads are hard to resist. The terrain appears sculpted and staged for offroading.
If ever a truck were conceived in such a place, the Dodge Ram Power Wagon would be on that list.

The 2010 Ram Power Wagon: An awesome beast to watch and even more fun to drive! The second generation Ram Power Wagon is a heavy-duty Ram 2500 fitted with Customer Preferred package 26P. This $6,350 option is about as truck altering as any seen on the market. The Power Wagon becomes a crew cab with a short bed four-wheel-drive and a 2 inch lift, massive 32 inch made for the terrain tires, skid plates, and a winch. But wait a minute okay all that is nice but what makes the Ram Power Wagon so ruggedly agile?

Well, let’s see the Ram 2500 uses Bilstein dampers, (electronic) front and rear differentials with a shorter 4:56:1 final drive ratio, high current alternator, and just push a button and the front stabilizer bar can easily be turned off. The Ram 2500’s rear suspension which uses leaf springs (stiffer and able to carry more weight) can provide greater load instead of coil springs and a live axle in the front instead of the double-wishbone independent suspension allowing the Ram to skim over rocky and uneven terrain. The vehicle also uses a recirculating-ball instead of rack and pinion steering which tackles wheel kickbacks.

Dodge offers this workhorse to consumers that need to get the job done on unforgiving terrains—not–for the family who wants a vehicle to tackle a bumpy road while pulling a boat. The Dodge Ram Power Wagon is built for customers who break a sweat and expect their truck to do so as well. With all that said the interior of the truck is comfortable and can also be fitted with several options like a rear seat video center to keep the workers happy on the way to the job.

The 2010 Dodge Ram Power Wagon is a great truck for people whose work takes them off the beaten path.

2010 Dodge Ram 2500 Cabs and Trims

Sunday, April 4th, 2010

When in the market for a truck, and that is a vehicle that actually ‘trucks’ equipment, supplies, and people effortlessly, a strong tough exterior style pulls in potential customers like a magnet. The tough exterior design of Ram 2500, always intimidating was updated in 2010 giving an air of bulging power in variations of cab options and trims.

The heavy-duty Ram 2500 comes in three cab styles: regular, Crew Cab and Mega Cab, which is a jumbo crew cab. Ram regular cabs are equipped with the long bed style only; Crew Cab has two bed options, a short or long bed. The customer that steps up to the Mega Cab is offered a short bed to compensate for the extended cab. Consumers are offered a variety of trim levels with the regular cab offered in ST or SLT trims; Crew Cab in ST, SLT and Laramie; and the Mega Cab in SLT or Laramie.

Ram ST is the basic trim level and comes with 17-inch steel wheels, upholstery and floorboards that are easy to clean (vinyl upholstery), power windows on Crew Cab and manual cranks on regular, cruise control, stereo, split front bench seat, and of course air conditioning. Ram 2500 SLT puts on some spurs with chrome exterior trim and chrome wheels. Also on SLT is a sliding rear window, heated mirrors, and keyless entry. Inside the SLT trim level offers satellite radio and a host of other accessories when opting for the Big Horn package. Another package that is available to off-road Ram 2500 drivers are the TRX and Power Wagon

Muscle bodied hard working cowboy all slicked back for the evening Ram Laramie offers dual-zone automatic climate control, alloy wheels, leather seating, a power driver seat with memory, power-adjustable pedals, auto-dimming mirrors, rear parking sensors, and more. The technology minded consumer is also considered with these features: Bluetooth, rocking upgraded, get this, nine-speaker surround-sound with a 30 GB music server and iPod integration.

The 2010 Dodge Ram is rough and ready and when slicked back is almost irresistible when adding in options like a sunroof, front bucket seats, and a rear-seat entertainment system.

New Dodge Challenger Performance Package Options

New Performance Package

The Dodge Challenger has stepped up its performance appeal with a new appearance likely to brighten the spotlight on the modern day muscle machine.

The Challenger has been known to get a few gawkers as it rolls down city streets and reciprocates with the sound of its awe-inspiring V8.

To take it a step further, Dodge has just released a new offering in giving the Challenger an even more powerful stance with it’s already adequate appearance.

There’s no denying a need existed to offer a scoop, spoiler and other similar attributes. It brings a sense of supremacy to a design that already had our attention, and enhances this feeling of performance the Challenger represents.

The price tag for the exterior package is going for $1995. Its clearly worth it in this case as one gets a scoop, spoiler, some door trim guards and new graphics.

The interior provides a new Mopar shifter, T handle of course, new pedals and some carpet mats, and a new cover to protect it’s beauty from the elements. This is going to run you $945 for all these new treats in an automatic transmission model or $780 for the manual trans version.

Dodge is making the Challenger a true modern muscle car complete with all the traditions and makings of such. The feeling behind the wheel will now have the balance in appearance giving it’s design a fulfilled and completed prophesy.

The others in it’s class have been a serious challenge to the reincarnated legend and will be sure to make more known of it’s attention to the muscle car spirit. By bringing in all of these essential details, the Challenger is upping the bar for design and quality in a highly competitive line of modern muscle cars.

Kinda cool that the package captures the true nostalgia that makes the Challenger a hard thing to forget in the minds of enthusiasts who really appreciate these new offerings.

2010 Dodge Challenger – History Of A Legend

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

The 2010 Dodge Challenger with it’s HEMI engine is striking. History is repeating itself with the Challenger being offered in the stunning color known as plum crazy. The experience of handling the power behind one of these is almost as exhilarating as the color purple that shares its predecessor roots. Its hard to describe in words how the design captures your undivided attention.

The lines are on the Challenger make it one of the best looking reincarnations amongst its com-padres the Camaro and Mustang. The saying looks aren’t everything does not apply here.

What is so special about plum crazy? Its just a color that was once available in the past, but what it does is transcends time to the days when you saw the capabilities of an american car company just dominate. It was a time that anyone today under 35 didn’t experience, or did they. Perhaps a family member shared stories of their time spent working at one of the big 3, so in that sense it may seem like that of a legend.

Detroit is all about bringing it, and they are clearly doing just that with the Challenger. This is an example of something you won’t get from an italian car maker, or a japanese car maker, this is a car built in your backyard, and literally you can find the evidence tucked away in garages all over Detroit. If you ever had the chance to visit the Woodward Dream Cruise you would see not only the cars that shaped this era, and now the future, but the people who made it all happen.

The brilliant people who put their talent to work back in the day are still around, still passionate and they are what made these car companies successful. They occasionally surface and share all sorts of details. Things like how they implemented or tested ideas for a new design and how it all came together in the end.

These cars are the history and what provided the passion to build companies like Ford, GM, and Chrysler. It was people who loved their job, bragged about their job, and lived their job. The decision to reenact these cars indicates the companies want to revive the spirit. Owning a Challenger back then, you know it was made by hard working American’s, making a living wage. Lets hope that the focus on bringing these cars back also means bringing Detroit back so future successes are built upon the foundations that were established there decades ago.
